How fast can we ramp lithium production? The answer is not fast enough. Benchmark Mineral Intelligence puts the estimate at $116 billion to increase production by a factor of 5.7 times by 2030. The analysis used data from Rho Motion and the International Energy Agency (IEA) and assumes we need to increase current production from 915,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) to 5.3.
