Since Wednesday, August 29, natural gas spot prices increased in most markets (exceptions were Florida and Rocky Mountain region). Crude oil was up over $2 per barrel. Commodity Price or Volumes Change since last % Change Natural Gas Spot (Henry Hub) $5.81/MMBtu MMBtu UP $0.17

Oil trading began on a much firmer footing this month, with Brent capping the $80 per barrel mark for the first time in three months on January 10. Basically, the old continent will need to find around 15 bcm of natural gas from elsewhere, which it can but at a considerably higher cost. Happy New Year dear readers.
