Recently, the Nigerian government demanded more than $60 billion in back royalties under a production sharing agreement with the supermajors operating in the country. During the first round of cuts, agreed in December 2016, Nigeria was exempted, along with Libya, because of the trouble it was having with the Niger Delta militants.

The mine is expected to have a life of 23 years at this rate based on drilling only a VERY small portion of this potentially massive potash basin. Which is a BIG advantage!
